WPM Real Estate Management Partners with Irvine Nature Center to Build Hodgepodge Lodge
WPM Real Estate Management will partner with the Irvine Nature Center this August to build a “Hodgepodge Lodge”—a cottage-like structure that will serve as a hub for nature exploration for Irvine’s guests. WPM Associates will join Irvine staff and volunteers over the course of two weekends on Saturday, August 4th, Saturday, August 11th, and Sunday, August 12th to build the Lodge.
Many may remember the popular Maryland Public Television children’s show from the 1970s of the same name. In the show, host and naturalist Jean Worthley—“Miss Jean”—and her orange-winged Amazon parrot, Aurora, introduced children to wild animals and explored other nature topics. Worthley died in April 2017, but her legacy lives on thanks to a donation made in her honor to the Irvine Nature Center to fund the building of the replica Hodgepodge Lodge.
“WPM’s goal is to build stronger communities. We achieve this by providing excellent property management services,” said WPM President Jim Dahlgren. “We also achieve this goal by donating our time and resources to worthy organizations, such as the Irvine Nature Center. We partnered with them in 2014 to build the Butterfly House, which was a great success. We’re excited to have another opportunity to assist Irvine in bringing excellent nature programs to children in our region.”
“WPM is a valuable corporate partner to the Irvine Nature Center,” said Irvine Executive Director Brooks Paternotte. “Their Associates generously donate their free time to help us bring our projects to life. We are grateful for their support.”
